Frequently Asked Questions
Are Centervention programs research and evidence-based?
Yes, numerous research studies show that Centervention® programs accurately identify SEL strengths and weaknesses and improve SEL skills. You can learn more and find additional information on our social emotional learning research studies page.
I am interested in signing up for a trial. Am I eligible?
Centervention trials are available to school-based educators and private practice practitioners such as counselors, therapists, speech-language pathologists, etc. To sign up, click the “Sign Up” button at the top-right of our website.
How many student accounts can I create during my free trial period?
You can add as many student accounts as you’d like during your 30-day free trial. And you can purchase and assign licenses for the students that you would like to have continue using the programs after your trial ends.
What are the technical requirements for using Centervention?
Our online programs are web based with nothing to download or install. Students can login directly from our student login website using laptops, Chromebooks or iPads.
How does purchasing work?
You may purchase individual student licenses or you can purchase a Centervention Site License.
You can purchase with a credit card right from your educator account or you can request a quote to purchase with a purchase order. Additional information is available on our purchasing page.
How can I use Centervention programs in a virtual environment?
Many educators are using platforms like Zoom or Google Meet to work with students online, and you can have your students share their screen and observe them play. Check out the Remote Learning Tips in the Educator Guide for additional ideas.
I created a student account but I can’t find the password.
Your student’s default password is auto-generated and is the same as their username. For example, if your student’s username is abc1, then the password is abc1. You can change or reset the password at any time on the Manage Students page in your educator account.
How long will it take for my students to finish the game?
We recommend students play for 30 mins 1-2x a week (maximum). With this pacing, students should complete their assigned game within one semester or school year. Once a student completes the program, we encourage you to review their progress and reports in your educator account to identify areas that still need improvement and have them replay.
Can I switch a student from one program to another?
Yes, you can change their program on the Manage Students page –> Active Program column as long as they have an active license.
Am I able to monitor the progress of each student?
Yes, you can view your student’s progress and data from your Educator account→ Student Progress. Click on the Reports page to see your student’s progress, daily usage (time played), and individual reports. Click on Emotion Check Ins to see their emotion check in data and click on Group Data to view all of your students at a glance.
Do I have to create student accounts one at a time?
If you are creating 25+ student accounts, we can upload a file with your roster. Simply email us at support@centervention.com requesting our bulk upload template.
Do you have any suggestions for funding the purchase of your programs?

How can I delete students from my Manage Students page?
You can’t delete students but you can archive them and this will remove them from your Manage Students view and will preserve their data. Simply select the student accounts and choose “archive.”
How can I preview the programs before my students play?
Yes, each program has a “Game Preview” so you can preview gameplay from a student perspective. This is located on the Getting Started page in your educator account.
